Tom performs Little Feat's Willin' at Seaton Delaval Arts Centre with the Billy Mitchell Band
NEW BAND!!!
Tom will be performing at Brown's Salthouse in Cullercoats in October with a new band. The band includes Tom's brother Scott who has performed with Tom on many gigs playing outstanding piano solos and chipping in on some vocals. Also the band will feature Jed Laidlaw on drums, Jed played with North East band 'The Motorettes' and currently performs with 'The Cheerleaders'. Lastly Tom will be joined by Jack Laidlaw of 'Love Bites and Bruises' on bass. This wont be the first time Jack and Tom have performed together as they are both founder members of the infamous 'Tomcats' or was it 'Tomkatz'?

Summer Night at Porters

SUNDAY FOR SAMMY DVD ON SALE
Tom features in the house band and shares the stage with dad Billy Mitchell, and fiddling siblings extraordinaire, Katherine and Peter Tickell, in a stunning version of Alan Hulls, 'No Time To Lose'.
This years show featuring, Mark Knopfler, Tim Healy, Denise Welch, Kevin Whately, Christopher Fairbank, Timothy Spall, Alan Shearer ,Brendan Healy, Billy Mitchell, Kathryn Tickell, and many more, took place on Sunday 7th February 2010 at Newcastle City Hall and were watched by ecstatic audiences of over 4,000 people, lucky enough to have tickets.
The first SUNDAY FOR SAMMY was staged in 2000 by Tim Healy and Jimmy Nail to commemorate the life and work of their friend Tyneside actor Sammy Johnson, who died suddenly in 1998. The 2010 shows were the sixth in a series of SUNDAY FOR SAMMY events held on Tyneside every two years to raise money to help gifted young performers make a start in the entertainment business. The format of the shows, blending hilarious sketches, stand-up comedy and stunning music has proved to be amazingly popular with the public. The 2008 concert also features performances from young artists who were recipients of grants from the Sammy Johnson Fund.
The DVD of the2010 concert was directed by GEOFF WONFOR and produced by RAY LAIDLAW. 75% of the proceeds of the sales of the DVD will be donated to the Sammy Johnson Fund.
